Shipping policy

Dispatch times
We use Royal Mail 24hr Tracked to deliver your goods. Our choice of postage options bares no relation to our dispatch times; which in peak periods can be up to 10 working days. We aim though to dispatch standard orders within 72hrs and shop/retail orders within 1 week. You may ask for a delivery estimate before or after ordering by emailing [email protected]

Channel Islands/NI exclusion
We are very sorry but we cannot send seed to the Channel Islands or Northern Ireland due to the requirement for a Phytosanitary certificate, this unfortunately currently is prohibitively expensive. Should we receive an order with a delivery address from one of these regions; we will contact you for a mainland shipping address. If this cannot be provided your order will be cancelled and refunded in full.

Delivery costs (inc. VAT)
Standard delivery for an order up to 1kg in the UK is £3. Costs of heavier parcels are shown at checkout, orders placed over £100 have a free postage option. We use Royal Mail for ALL orders. If you wish to arrange collection from our farm to save paying for postage you can select to do so during checkout. Please note we cannot offer collections outside of working hours. We are open M-F 8-4 on an average. We are closed on weekends and bank holidays.

Missing Item/s in the delivery?
Please notify us of a missing order item within 7 days of delivery. Notifications after this time period will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. Inside of the 7 day notification period; we may ask you to send a photo of the packing slip, so we can see how/why this could have happened and send the missing item/s in earnest.

Missing the whole Parcel?
We keep records of all tracking numbers and the outcomes for all shipments. If you do not receive tracking updates by text or email you can ask for a copy by emailing the seed shop. Please notify us of a missing delivery within 8 working days of the posting date. Notifications beyond the 8th day will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

If we CAN prove delivery has been made by means of the tracking number showing “this item has been delivered” no claim can or will be made to us for a refund or replacement. The liability falls to Royal Mail. Please make your own claim with Royal mail. We can provide you with a duplicate VAT receipt by email upon request to assist.

If we CANNOT prove a shipment has been delivered. We will investigate. We will first ask you to check with your local sorting office personally first. We cannot do this on your behalf. Most missing parcels are found in this way. Once we are satisfied your parcel is lost (minimum time as per Royal Mail guidelines and ours is 10 working days) we will after the 10-day period has elapsed; offer you a refund or replacement. We will make the claim to Royal Mail for the missing shipment in order to cover the replacement costs and fees.

Undelivered parcels which are not collected from the sorting office will be returned to us within 1 month. We will contact you should this situation arise. You will be asked to pay the shipping fee again in order to re-send your order.

The MAXIMUM time allowable by Royal Mail for a claim to be made for a missing delivery is 80 days. We will not entertain claims for missing parcels beyond day 65 due to administration time.

On some orders of certain sizes and values we add the requirement for a signature, you are welcome to ask for this service too. Additional costs may be added to your order total.

Shipments which have a “safe place” noted removes all liability for insurance purposes from both us and Royal Mail. All mail left in a safe place is done so entirely at the purchasers’ risk.

No refunds, replacements or claims can or will be made when an incorrect or incomplete delivery address is given to either us or Royal Mail.

Parcels are sent at the customers’ risk. Insurance against
damage is available at additional cost - please ask for details if this is required. Should your seed packet/s arrive damaged, we can at our personal discretion only replace the packet only (empty).

We use plastic free shipping methods where possible/viable.
