LEEKS
Leeks grow best in a deep, rich, fertile soil. Sow from March in rows 40 cm apart, thin later to a distance of 15 cm. Or raise plants in a seed bed and plant out in June-July. Ridge up a few times while the plants are growing. Harvest from autumn onwards. Seed rate: 10-15 g/100 m² (50-100 g/100 m² with direct drilling). 1000 seeds= ~2.4 g.
